Boot choice is a very unique and individual thing, the type of player who's worn Copa Mundials wouldn't likely switch into a pair of Superfly's, or someone who wears black boots probably wouldn't jump at the PowerCat Elektro's. So here presents to you an interesting case - the adizero RS7 boots - technically a rugby boot, but if they're your personal choice is there anything wrong with wearing them?

Before we talk about the tech of these new adizero RS7 rugby boots, lets get to the main question on everyones mind - can you play football in them? Well yes, we've checked regarding boot specifications and can confirm you are legally allowed to play football in the new adizero RS7 Rugby boots.


Better still, there is no obvious bespoke rugby branding on these adizero's, which some fans will notice aren't too dissimilar to the adizero 5-star American Football cleats, because as usual you get the standard 'adizero' text on the toe and 'sprint frame' on the outsole.

The next question to answer then is - would you want to play football in the adizero RS7 Pro boots? Which brings us back to our original question regarding personal choice, because technically these boots offer the same performance characteristics as the standard football adizero. But the colours and design offer something different to what currently exists.

The White/Red adizero's are a clean and classy colourway we've yet to really see in the range, apart from the whiteout synthetic and leather versions. Whilst the Infrared/Cobalt versions are an eye-catching number that will stand-out on pitch, and mixes just two colours rather than three and is without any of the artwork over the toe area.

As we know the adizero's are all about lightweight speed, and with their Sprint Frame outsole adidas really made a breakthrough in the market, therefore it's no surprise to see it on the RS7 Pro adizero Rugby boots. Around 50% lighter than all other regular TPU outsoles, the Sprint Frame still delivers a strong and stable mid-foot area designed to help prevent injury's, whilst giving you the reactivity and flex needed for acceleration.

The stud configuration is slightly different, with a combination of molded Traxion studs and longer exchangeable aluminium studs, which combine for maximum acceleration and speed on wet surfaces. But what might surprise a few people by not changing, is that adidas have still finished the adizero RS7 with the synthetic print and textured surface to help improve control when striking the ball - ideal for footballers!

With the winter season coming before summer in Europe, these adidas adizero RS7 Pro boots could be a real option for some boot fans out there. They not only look great, but you can be quite sure there won't be another player on the pitch wearing the same boots as you! Obviously the debate will still rage on, but ultimately is it not a case of personal preference?Plus a nice bonus, these versions come in slightly cheaper than their football counterparts at around £140 GBP / $190 USD / €170 EURO.

I've always wanted to do this concept. K9 would be a very cool name for a minor league baseball team. It's unique, and has 9, similar to baseball teams of old. I sketched up the dog, made it on inkscape, adjusted, and here it is.

My friend Neil from Minnesota and I were talking about starting a design company deal. Try to promote ourselves, and make some cash. His nickname is TC, and we were coming up with things that it could stand for(Such as Top Cat). We started thinking, and he said if we ever go into business, our name should be MTC, and it could mean anything. I said, “Why don’t we?” We decided we would make logos for the new company, and get back to eachother. He went to bed, and I went to work. The next morning, I messaged him this logo on facebook, and he responded, “Fuck you.”

Juventus Nike presents the T-shirt of Juventus football series for the new season 2011/2012. Juventus Juventus were inspired by traditional home in the 21st Century and was brought for the occasion called in a special place in life: the new Stadium in the dressing room Juventus.

There are some great details about the new 11/12 Juventus home soccer jersey. Now we must think in working hard only.”

Available to order now, the launch of the new Nike Juventus Home football shirt 2011-12 coincides with the opening of the new Juventus stadium, replacing the Delle Alpi and bringing the fans closer to the pitch. Tips Chosing Sol Plates Football Boots

Which sole plate to wear is extremely important depending on what surface you are playing on as this will affect grip, traction and movement. The choice will also take care of a players feet, as the wrong choice can potentially be very damaging to the foot.

Soft Ground (SG)- Soft ground football boots are suited for soft natural grass playing surfaces and are usually ideal during the winter months and wet conditions. Depending on the brand most studs are removable and are available as screw-in or bladed studs. Soft ground studs are longer and made of a denser material usually with a metal tip (cleat) to provide extra grip under the feet when the ground is soft.


Firm Ground (FG)- Usually fixed/moulded to the sole plate, firm ground boots are best used on firm natural grass surfaces. During the spring and summer months when the ground has become too hard for a soft ground stud to sink into, it is essential to look after the sole of the feet and switch to firm ground studs. Depending on the manufacturer studs come in varying shapes such as bladed and conical, and varying lengths, but it is important for a footballer to find their own personal preference.

Hard Ground (HG)- Mostly used on artificial pitches and very hard natural surfaces a hard ground sole plate is the perfect middle ground between a trainer and a firm ground football boot. Studs have various configurations with a low profile and are made of softer materials such as rubber, creating more friction on the hard surface, but give more freedom of movement on a surface which can be quite inforgiving on the leg muscles during play.

Set to dominate leagues around the globe, the Nike Seitiro football is the replacement for the successful and popular Nike T90 Tracer, and is the first ball since 2003/04 not to carry the T90 mark. But how does the Seitiro match up to the predecessors, and will it perform for the top players in world football?


Visually, it's quite clear the Nike Seitiro football is very different to the previous Premier League, La Liga and Serie A ball. But as with all things Nike, this hasn't happened by accident as there are genuine performance theories behind the design.
