Lotto Fuerzapura II L100 Football Boots - White/Cyber Yellow

Despite just being launched 12 months ago, Lotto have released an updated version of the Fuerzapura L100 football boots. Dispensing with the synthetic versions, Lotto have concentrated on creating a quality leather boot with effective results! Check out our full reveal of the Lotto Fuerzapura II L100 football boots...

Launched back in July 2010, the Lotto Fuerzapura L100 football boots were a brand new boot silo from Lotto. However, at the time we couldn't help but feel the Fuerzapura was echoing the Zhero range and therefore it was difficult to view it as a stand alone boot range. But with the release of the Fuerzapura II, soccer equipment Lotto have sent out a real statement of intent with unique styling and a soft, comfortable K leather upper.

So what exactly does 'Fuerzapura' mean? Well, it's translation is Pure Force, and whilst the first incarnation featured synthetic material either side of the lacing system to assist ball distribution and shooting, the Fuerzapura II's Pure Force must be attributed to the outsole which is packed with innovative technologies.

The most radical move by Lotto for the Fuerzapura II L100 soccer cleats is to drop the synthetic versions, and focus on creating a quality and comfortable water-repellant K leather boot. But as expected from the Italian brand, Lotto have really done an impressive job because the toe area is extremely soft in-hand, and reminiscent of the some of the classic Lotto boots, meaning great comfort and ball feel.

The stand-out feature of the Lotto Fuerzapura II football boots are the Cyber Yellow panels sticthed to the sides of the boots, and incorporated into the lacing system. There's definitely a Flywire feel about these panels, with the additional material cradling the foot when the laces are tightened, to hold into place and offer unrivalled support.

As we mentioned before, a lot of the tech advancements are to be found in the outsole of the Lotto Fuerzapura II L100 soccer shoes. Introduced is Lotto's heel control, built-in to ensure correct heel support and control, whilst the Fuerzapura's once again incorporate the Twist'nGo and ReActive Arch.

To compliment the upper and player performance, the Lotto Fuerzapura II features Lotto's ReActive Arch technology. The concave shaped sole provides cushioning, stability and reactivity, to flex and move in unison with the natural movement of the transverse arch. As a further performance benefit, the ridges on the upper part of the Fuerzapura insole provide arch massage, to aid circulation and the absorption of lactic acid.

The sole-plate of the Lotto Fuerzapura II L100 football boots incorporates Lotto's unique Twist'nGo pivoting stud. Managing the impact and stresses of fast directional changes, the Twist'nGo stud is designed to improve performance whilst accelerating, stopping and turning, and also reduces the risk of injury.

For us, it's a welcome return to quality leather engineering from Lotto, aided by some innovative tech advancements. The brand new Lotto Fuerzapura II L100 football boots are available to pre-order now ahead of hitting the shelves on 1st July, and should cost around £110 GBP / $145 USD / €130 EURO.

This is it Lionel Messi Soccer Boots UEFA Champion League

If there's one thing that adidas have learnt about getting your boots' noticed on pitch, then it's make them as brightly coloured as possible! But quite uniquely, adidas have been able to incorporate these bright colours into a quality leather upper on a speed boot. Check out our full and exclusive photography of the brand new Electricity/Purple adidas F50 adiZero football boots...
The lightweight nature of the soccer equipment adiZero soccer shoes has led to them being an instant hit with pro's, but perhaps more than the synthetics, it has been the the leather versions that have seen a huge player uptake. The new Electricity/Purple colourway is sure to once again be met with an overwhelmingly mixed response, so we'd love to hear your opinions on the latest adiZero colourway but first check out our full imagery!

Sitting alongside the new adiZero Prime and and adiZero synthetic, the new Electricity adiZero leather boots complete the range of adidas' latest speed colour-way. It'll be interesting to see if they have as popular a player uptake as their fellow adidas boot the Predator Electricity, although where the Pred had a slightly retro feel, there's definitely nothing nostalgic about this new adiZero which screams attention!

Unlike the Electricity/Purple F50 adiZero Prime, the leather F50 adiZero features a more predominantly electricity upper without the purple TPU bottom frame featuring on the boot. However, the purple does still continue to run through the front graphic, continuing it's way up the boots tongue and heel.

With a countless list of pro's choosing to wear leather over synthetic, adidas continue to acknowledge the demand for leather speed boots. Besides Lionel Messi, other pro's that wear leather adiZero's include Arjen Robben, Emmanuel Adebayor, David Villa, David Silva and Karim Benzema. The new leather adiZero football boots have become a potent weapon for today's speed merchants who prefer a traditional upper.

Manchester United Home Kit 2011-2012

The new soccer equipment Manchester United home kit uses the success of the past to inspire the glory of the future. Records broken, championships crowned, Manchester United's winning mentality never stops. Old Trafford fortress has a new look that will front another red surge into the new season.

A new season, a new design. Nike have kept a sleek and simple look for the new 2011/12 Manchester United Home Shirt. The classic white collar worn by heroes, Best, Charlton and the 99 treble winners no longer features. In its place is new white crew-necked creation with a central black stripe.

The new white and black crew neck is a design replica of the club's retro bar scarf, which has previously appeared on shirts worn by legendary United sides of the past, including the 1977 and 1985 FA Cup winners, and on the back of the shirts worn by the winners of the 2008 Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

The new Manchester United 11/12 Home Jersey features a revolutionary sweat controlling fabric and body contoured shape. The improved Nike Dri-Fit fabric helps to quickly evaporate moisture by drawing through the fabric to the surface to keep players dry.

For the first time, the shorts and the socks – as well as the shirt – are made up from Nike's ground-breaking recycled polyester. Each kit is made up of up to thirteen reclaimed plastic water bottles, reducing the energy consumption by up to 30 per cent compared to the manufacturing of traditional polyester.

For the first time on a Manchester United shirt, the iconic club badge is heat-transferred. For traditionalist this news may come as a disappointment, but the new badge construction crucially allows increased ventilation in the chest area while further reducing the weight of the shirt.

The Red Devil's new 11/12 Home Jersey will get its first taste of competitive action in Manchester United's pre-season tour of the USA that will see them take on the New England Revolution, Chicago Fire, Seattle Sounders, MLS All Stars and FC Barcelona as part of their second consecutive North American campaign.

With a strikingly simple design, the new 11/12 Manchester United Home Jersey could be in line to become an overall fan favourite. Will Manchester United claim Premier League title number 20 wearing their new 11/12 Nike football shirt?

adidas adiPower Predator Launch Event

Adidas brought some of the world’s best footballers together to launch the revolutionary new adidas adiPower Predator football boots, at a fantastic launch event held in London.

Globally renowned players gathered together at The Old Truman Brewery in the heart of East London to take part in a special event watched by a crowd of fans and global media. Decorated with Predator grafitti art and a host of new and old Predator incarnations, the setting was fitting of the new Predator's - a football boot classic with an ultra-modern twist.

As the media gathered, attention was drawn to the stage with it's seven vacant stools in front of a wall decorated in adiPower Predator football boots. There were plenty of rumours and excitement over who might be attending, before adidas finally unveiled the line-up. The players were introduced one at a time to a rapturous applause, led out by Robin Van Persie followed by Riccardo Montolivo, Nani, Jack Rodwell, Fernando Llorente, Jonjo Shelvey and star attraction Kaka!

Every player gave us a run down of what they thought of the new Predators, once again led by Van Persie who said of the new boot: “The new adiPower Predator is perfect for controlling the ball. If you have a good first touch and good ball control then you are able to own the game.”

Van Persie's fellow Premier League Star Nani added: “I wore the new adiPower Predators for the first time at the weekend when we won the league, so I’m hoping they act as a good luck charm in the UEFA Champions League final as well.”

We were beginning to see good banter develop between the players, who for some were meeting each other for the first time, especially with Nani constantly making Kaka laugh! A great reminder that the players are human like the rest of us, they just happen to be super talented at football!

To celebrate the launch adidas created a series of unique skill based challenges for the players to attempt. A variety of tasks were set up across a purpose built skills arena which saw the players test their accuracy and control.

An enthusiastic host (Reggie Yates of Radio 1), who reminded us of the first Preds back in 94 which everyone was desperate to own so they could curve the ball, was joined on stage by Predator Kev as they introduced the players. There were cheers from the crowd, but as you would imagine there had to be a pantomime villain, and thanks to an Arsenal biaised presenter who had just bigged up RVP, it was Nani who got a few comedy boos!

The players were split into two teams with Nani, Shelvey and Kaka versus Llorente, Rodwell and Robin Van Persie. There were various targets such as oil drums, basketball hoops, windows, tyres and gongs, but it was the two strikers Llorente and Van Persie who covered themselves in glory striking the most objects and showing off their technique and accuracy.

The second part of the event saw the players take on competition winners from the audience in a bespoke game of “football paintball”. It was as crazy as it sounds and led Real Madrid and Brazil star Kaka to comment:

“It was fantastic to get involved and be able to interact with the fans. The football paintball was like nothing I’ve ever done before it gave us players a great chance to show off just how accurate the adiPower Predator is!”

As you would imagine, it wasn't long before there was carnage as balls dipped in paint were flying everywhere, which became hilarious when the players turned on each other! But ultimately, it was the players who had the last laugh as the usually quite reserved Kaka hit a ball into the crowd to cover everyone in paint!

The event was a great spectacle and brought together some of the best footballers on the planet, all of whom were happy to showcase their talents in their new adidas adiPower Predator football boots.

FC Barcelona 2011/12 Official Nike Kit Launch

Presented in the darkly lit lower levels of the Camp Nou, Sandro Rosell took time out from his presidential duties to officially launch the all new 2011/12 Nike Barcelona collection. When the rest of Catalonia was going to sleep, the Camp Nou roared like a lion.

Staged in one of the countless L'Estadi stairways with the worlds media in attendance, the Barcelona President marked an historic moment in the Catalan club's history.

In a spectacular show full of light and colour, Nike and FC Barcelona felt the most fitting venue was inside the stadium itself. The very venue where fans experience the emotion and passion every week when their heroes emerge on pitch, acted as the stage for Nike's soccer equipment official launch.

Sandro Rosell led the presentation backed by general director of the club, Antoni Rossich and Nike's Spanish and Portuguese director Marcos Garzo. Before Rosell took to the stage, Garzo revealed that Nike continue to contribute efficiently to the environment – the new Nike Barcelona shirt continues to use 8 recycled bottles.

Former Nike worker Sandro Rosell remembered his days with the American sports giants, where he worked until 2002, commenting that if ''Barca is more than a club, Nike is more than a business''. The Barcelona president praised Nike's past relationship with the Spanish Champions during tougher times when Nike continued their support during the Catalan club's struggles in '99.

"Nike is a brand reference, it’s more than just a brand and we are delighted to have the best with us. They’ve come up with an ecological, innovative, ground-breaking, and daring design, that won’t leave anybody indifferent”.

The Barcelona President praised the clubs new sponsors, the Qatar Foundation, along with Barcelona's strong relationship with UNICEF. ''It's a great satisfaction to see that Nike, Barcelona, UNICEF and the Qatar Foundation are working together on this project. The best way to achieve success is to work as a team.''

Sandro Rosell, standing at the access areas of the Camp Nou, and in front of the new Nike Barcelona Collection, referred to the current sporting situation Barcelona find themselves in. On the horizon of an incredible Primera Liga and Champions League double, Rosell explained:

''Whatever happens at Wembley, this season has already been a great success, but if on the 28th May we beat Manchester United it would be the icing on the cake.''

The highly anticipated FC Barcelona Nike 11/12 home and away kits have been a hot talking point since their first unveiling. The ever-iconic red and blue striped home kit remains with a new blue sleeve and a razor detail on the stripes while the away shirt is a dominating, all black with yellow detail.

Describing Barcelona's new away look, Sports Director of Professional Football Andoni Zubizarreta commented: "The black reserve strip is elegant and will be great to wear". We're guessing Barca are hoping to intimidate the opposition on their own turf!

Packed with history and tradition, Barcelona shirts continue to provide an emblem for the most exciting football played in the world. The look may be different, but the message remains the same. Total control.

Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra Football Boots - Blue/Black/Silver

It's a stunning new release for one of the most unique speed boots on the market! As if not having laces isn't eye-catching enough, Lotto have released their Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots in this jaw-dropping Blue/Black/Silver colourway. Check out our full and exclusive photography of the latest boots to hit the market...

There's something quite exciting and eccentric about the speed boot market, which seems to generate the most astonishing Soccer equipment  football boots. And whilst the likes of adidas, Nike and Puma have cornered the lion's share of the market, Lotto have shown with the Zhero Gravity Ultra that they're not shy to create their own uniquely innovative football boots!

The concept of a laceless soccer cleat is one that Lotto are continuing to single-handedly pioneer. It's an idea that began life in a laboratory in 2002, and was inspired by the desire to create a boot that gives "extraordinary contact with the ball". Since then, Lotto's Zhero Gravity range has gone on to establish itself as a top speed boot in the marketplace, with the Gravity Ultra editions enriched with a couple more innovations; Twist 'nGo and ReactiveArch.

The microfibre upper of the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots is made from a thin material which moulds to the foot, offering an exceptional feel for the ball. By removing the laces, Lotto have created the cleanest contact and striking surface between foot and ball. It also won't have escaped your attention that while previous releases have been quite subtle, Lotto are really announcing these editions of the Gravity Ultra with the eye-catching Blue/Black/Silver colour scheme that shimmers in the light!

The flush fit of the Gravity Ultra is achieved by two rubberised panels stitched into the fore and heel of the boot upper. These stretch out allowing your feet into the boot, before retracting back to provide a sock-like fit. Key here is finding the right size and fit, because unlike a leather upper the boot won't expand over time or retract if you initially wear them in the bath, however, the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra does offer one of the most unique fits in the boot industry.

The unique fit of the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra upper, raises the importance of the heel counter and outsole when shooting, passing and during movement. Lotto have accounted for this performance need by creating a heel counter that fully cradles the heel and continues to the arch of the foot were it meets Lotto's ReactiveArch outsole.

The ReactiveArch is one of the first concave shaped outsoles to feature on a boot, and is a Lotto innovation that delivers cushioning, stability and reactivity. This dynamic sole is designed to flex, move in unison and provide an elastic (energy) return to the natural deformation movement of the transverse arch in the forefoot...we know, very clever stuff!

The Lotto designers and engineers haven't stopped there though, as the Zhero Gravity Ultra soccer shoes also feature the Twist'nGo technology. A solitary pivoting silver stud located under the toe area, positioned to improve performance and reduce the risk of injury, by helping the players to overcome foot and ground friction.

We think there's quite a few boot fans who wouldn't mind giving the Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots a try, because now in their 9th year Lotto's innovation has been proven to work, and the fact that they're now beginning to be released in bright colours might just endear them to the speed fans.

The new Blue/Black/Silver Lotto Zhero Gravity Ultra football boots are expected to be available from early June, and will retail worldwide for around £150 GBP / $220 USD / €180 EURO.

United States of Sports

I made a map of the USA using sports logos for tumblr. I thought it was a fun idea, and got it done pretty fast. Even though in the original post I said "This is a map of the USA made of sports logos. I couldn’t put every team, but I purposely didn’t put yours.", people still complain about not having teams like the Warriors, and White Sox.

If you come across this, feel free to add me on tumblr. If you leave a note on there about this blog and I shall follow you!

Phoenix Suns

I wanted to keep the whole set purple, orange, and yellow. THat was a big factor. The jerseys are kinda ugly with all the grey now. I wanted a more abstract feel with the swooshes on the side panels. Nothing overpowering on the sides, so no big stripe. The same design can be found on the pants to add some flow to the whole set.

That's what I have now. I might do some more for sure.

Toronto Raptors

Not much of a change from the current, but a change was there. I eliminated all grey on the jersey, and made it a red and black team. That gives the whole set a more Canada feel. The current has 2 slashes on the side. I put three, just to match the logo. Really simnple work here. I used the unused script that matches the logo, instead of the current.

Dallas Mavericks

I didn't realize till I did this that the Mavs changed their dark jersey to royal blue until I did this concept. What I did, was add green. That is really the only MAJOR change to the logos. I wanted to expand the colors of the league, like what I did in the MLB. I made a new type of piping, somewhat similar to the Nike college basketball jerseys.

Cleveland Cavaliers

I wanted to do an NBA redesign, but I ended up getting designer's block and stopping with 4.

On the Cavs, their logo angers me. It has navy, and a weird maroon color. If they want to go maroon and yellow, use it throughout. I am a big fan of the navy LeBron era jerseys with the dashes. I brought that back, but only used the two colors. THe road is in two colors like the ones now.

Nike Football Shirt FC Barcelona Home Kit 2011-2012

The new Barcelona 11/12 Nike Home Kit is the uniform that the newly crowned La Liga champions will wear on their home turf next season.

The release of the new 11/12 Nike Barcelona Home Kit is a special moment in Barcelona FC history. For the first time the club will wear a home and away strip featuring a shirt sponsor. Qatar Foundation will adorn the highly sought after retail space across the front of Barcelona's new jerseys for the next five years.

The non-profit organization that works with education projects in the Middle East, will replace the famous unicef logo that has become an iconic part of Barcelona's jerseys.

The arrival of the Qatar Foundation sponsor will not please the Barcelona romantics who have witnessed the club refute valuable shirt sponsor temptations throughout Barca's 111 year history. While financial necessities have been met, the Catalan club maintain their uniqueness by featuring the unicef logo on the back of their new 11/12 Nike Jerseys.

Aesthetically, the new soccer equipment Barcelona Home shirt is noticeably different. In contrast to this seasons, the new Barcelona home shirt features a new stripe execution with nine red stripes that narrow from the upper right to lower left of the jersey.

Yellow coloring has been removed from the round-neck collar as well as the sleeves. The solid sleeves are now completely blue while the collar appears in the classic red.

Once more, we have been given an insight into future Nike products. Previously seen on Cesc Fabregas for the new 11/12 Arsenal Home shirt, Barcelona maestro Andres Iniesta can be seen wearing a new Nike CTR360 colorway. As another exciting side note, the new 2011/12 Nike La Liga football is also on display. Two exciting releases Nike are teasing us with!

The Barcelona home jersey has grown into one of the most recognizable shirt designs in world football. Packed with history and tradition, Barcelona shirts continue to provide an emblem for the most exciting football played in the world. The look may be different, but the message remains the same. Total control.

Tiger logo

I got a request from a small college for a logo. They wanted a tiger logo, with either black/light blue/white or royal blue/white. Since I'm in the Lightning mode, I went with that.

Brock Lesnar v/s Cain Velasquez UFC 121

Brock Lesnar defended his championship against undefeated top contender Cain Velasquez on October 23, 2010, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California at UFC 121. Lesnar was defeated by Velasquez for the UFC Heavyweight  via TKO in the first round. But still I think Brock Lesnar did a god job in defending his championship belt. Even loosing the match does not mean that he is out of form or he does not have it in him to be the champion. He is a hell of a player, you can say this by looking at his training videos where he is training like a machine or even the match. When the match started and the way he charged at Cain, I thought he's going to win but that din't work out. We can also not ignore the hard work done by Cain for the match. He was working round the clock for it and finally made it.
I think that Cain is Brock's biggest challenge in the present time and both want to have another match. With each Brock shows improvement, lets see what type of improvement he shows in his next fight.

MLB2: New York Yankees

30/30 New York Yankees
The last team is my least favorite.

The primary logo now is about 75% red, but there is hardly red used anywhere else. I replaced red with grey. I did that, but had navy more prominent. I only used one NY logo, unlike the 4 they use. Also, the scripts are the cursive, but that wont be needed for my jerseys.

Iconic pinstripes on the home, but the road, I put pinstripes with an NY logo on the chest, basically a darker home. Simple navy alt logo that in reality wouldnt be used much.

Thats what I've been doing for the past month! I finished posting these, and please comment. Please. Also go to the Continental Baseball League. Click!

MLB2: Chicago White Sox

29/30 Chicago White Sox
I found out that the White Sox and Tigers use basically the same font, so I went retro with this. I loved the Chicago script that they wore in the 70s, so I tried to match the Sox logo with a similar font. The alternate uses an update sock from a primary logo used in the 50s and 60s. It is surrounded by the diamond in the current alternate. The primary IS the cap logo, like now.

The jerseys are also new. I decided against pinstripes, just to be different. So no pinstripes and the design used on the black alt now on the sleeves and collars. The numbers match the scripts, and the front numbers are on line with the logo. Also notice the white socks! With stirups!

MLB2: Minnesota Twins

28/30 Minnesota Twins
I got help on this one from an ACTUAL Twins fan!

I think the current set is great, but could be changed. The primary, I just got rid of the Minnesota Baseball Club circle, nothing special. I like the current TC logo, but I thought of a way to maybe tie it in to the set better. The T from the Twins script fused with the wishbone c to make the new cap logo. Minne and Paul shaking hands on a logo for a patch on a sleeve. Then a new idea for the Minnesota script on the roads. TC suggested a slanted c on the cap but I wasnt feeling it.

The jerseys have some of the current influence, then some of me. The cap logo is all the same. So is the home jersey, pinstripes just work. The numbers have the shadow and such like the script. The roads also have pinstripes unlike the roads now. The names have an outline to seperate. the alternate just has red piping on a navy jersey, basically the current alt.
